ANDY The Ambulance

Andy is the newest member of our team. Andy is an interactive tool that we will be using to enhance our public relations and educational programs to the public. Andy will be heading to schools, church groups, and scout visits very soon.

Andy has the ability to both talk and listen to children while delivering a safety message or demonstration. If Andy gets stuck in traffic he can use his red lights and siren.

We would like to thank the following companies and groups that enabled us to bring Andy to the public. Pfund Superior Sales, M & M Uniforms, Frank’s Shoes, Varine-Slavine Inc., Missionary Auto, UPMC, Pittsburgh Emergency Medicine Foundation, UPMC Pre-Hospital Services.

A special thanks to the members of the department who have been instrumental in getting Andy and getting him ready for work. Lieutenant Brian Thomas, EMT Ray Hyland, Lieutenant Mark Garbowsky, EMT Ryan Scott, Paramedic Mike Kaplan, and Asst. Chief Brian McCaffrey.

If you would like Andy to come and visit your group please contact Asst. Chief McCaffrey at 412-884-0666 or bmccaffrey@baldwinems.com
