TransSafe Bariatric Ramp System

Medic 511 and Medic 513 was designed to be converted to use a TransSafe Bariatric Ramp System.  The bariatric system includes a new Stretcher, Winch, Ramps and a Transition Plate.  System is available to assist EMS crews with transportation of severely obese patients.  It enables crews to safely load and unload patients into the ambulance by reducing and even eliminating some manual labor.   By using this system is was found to decrease the risk of injury to the crews and patients being transported.  Medic 511 and Medic 513 was designed to easily convert to this system in a matter of minutes.

MX-PRO Bariatric Stretcher is larger than normal stretchers and able of caring patients up to 850 lbs while upright and 1600 lbs in the down position.  It has 7 in retractable handle on each side.  Stretcher can be wheeled in the lowest position using push/pull handles.

The Transition Plate can be mounted to the rear of the ambulance and is fastened to the floor with three fasteners.  This plate allows the ramps to be attached.

System includes two ramps that fold into three.  Each ramp is 11 feet long and capable of holding 600 lbs each.

For loading and unloaded an electric 5600lb which is used.  The winch mounts behind the stretchers antlers with two fasteners and powered by an outlet behind the airway seat.
