The Baldwin EMS Board of Directors designed an annual Distinguished Service Award to be given to an individual, who selected by their peers, would stand to represent the meaning and purpose of what our organization strives to achieve every day.  The selection criterion applies to not just a year-long evaluation of work and service but as also as a reflection on a career as an EMS professional.

The Distinguished Service Award recipient was selected by his peers by meeting the following criteria:

Paramedic Rescue Technician Brian M. Thomas 2005 Recipient

The 2005 Distinguished Service Award was presented to Paramedic Rescue Technician Brian M. Thomas at the January Baldwin Borough Council Meeting. Joining Brian this evening was his wife and several of his EMS colleagues. Brian began his career with Baldwin EMS over 7 years ago starting as an EMT and then completed Paramedic training, in which he graduated as number one in his class.  He is currently assigned to A-line and serves as acting Lieutenant when necessary.

Brian was nominated by his peers for his "always positive attitude", team work and excellent patient care skills.  In addition, he shares his natural "handy-man" skills in a variety of means through repair and improvement projects that he is assigned or initiates on his own.  Brian is very deserving of this recognition award and has grown into a role model for other employees of Baldwin EMS.
